Pricing & Fees: No Minimums. No Catch. Just Honest Pricing.
Every fee is on this page — the ones VEO charges and the broker-side charges you should know about. VEO's numbers come straight from the same configuration our trading engine uses to charge every order: $0 account minimum, free paper trading and Academy, and a 0% platform fee per live trade.
What does a trade actually cost?
On a $100 live trade you pay $0.00 in platform fees. On a $1,000 trade: $0.00. When you sell a US stock or ETF in a live account, US regulators charge small fees (usually a few cents at this size) which the broker collects on your brokerage account — VEO adds nothing on top. Paper trades never cost anything.
The full fee schedule
Account minimum — $0
Open an account with nothing. Fractional investing means you can buy a slice of a share from as little as $1 — no need to afford a whole share.
Paper trading — Free
A $10,000 virtual practice account on live market data. Trade stocks, ETFs and crypto with zero real-money risk, for as long as you like.
AI Academy, signals & tools — Free
Lessons, quizzes, certificates, AI trade signals, the AI coach, charts and analytics — all included, no subscription.
Platform fee per live trade — 0%
VEO charges 0% of the trade value when you buy or sell in a live account. This figure is read from the same setting our trading engine applies to every order.
Regulatory fees (US stock & ETF sells) — At cost
US regulators (SEC and FINRA) charge tiny fees when you SELL a stock or ETF — typically a few cents. On live accounts these are set by the regulators and collected by the broker (Alpaca) on your brokerage account under its published fee schedule. VEO never charges or adds anything on top.
Crypto trading (live) — Broker schedule
Live crypto orders execute on your brokerage account, and the broker (Alpaca) applies its published crypto fee schedule. Those fees go to the broker, not to VEO. Paper crypto trading is free.
Optional trading challenges — Paid entry (optional)
Skill challenges on your practice account carry an entry fee (shown in Rand on the Challenges page before you join) and pay a cash reward if you hit the target. Entirely optional — trading, the Academy and paper trading never require them.
Deposits — Coming with brokerage launch
Funding your live account arrives with our brokerage launch. Exact deposit costs will be published here before the feature goes live — we won't surprise you.
Withdrawals — Coming with brokerage launch
Same promise: withdrawal costs will be published on this page before real-money withdrawals launch.
"So what's the catch?"
- There are no hidden VEO charges — every fee we control is on this page, and broker-side charges are called out where they apply.
- VEO never holds your money. Live trading executes through Alpaca Securities LLC, a regulated US broker, and your funds sit in your own brokerage account.
- Regulatory fees exist on every US platform — they're set by the SEC and FINRA and collected by the broker, not by VEO, with no markup from us.
- Anything not final yet (like deposit and withdrawal costs) is marked "coming with brokerage launch" instead of promised early.
